Puppies that are sold as pets are still wonderful examples of the breed. They have good bloodlines and are bred to be healthy and happy dogs, but are often ruled out of showing for very small faults, like a missing tooth or eyes that are a little small. These are natural variations and your pet puppy is still absolutely beautiful, but have just been deemed not competitive enough for the show ring due to these small cosmetic differences. We have an extensive waiting list for show quality female puppies, but we are always willing to speak to anyone who loves chihuahuas as much as we do.
